The temperature control could use some attention, as the room felt colder than desired, particularly with a broken window pane that added to the chill. It would also be nice to have more meal choices on the dinner menu, especially for those with various dietary preferences, as the current selection felt somewhat limited.

the black lion was a great choice! we had a lovely double room that was spacious and clean. the bed was super comfortable, and the ensuite facilities were fantastic. the flat-screen tv was a nice touch! staff were super friendly and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. it’s just a quick walk to a fantastic old pub, while still being on a quiet street.

Such a cozy place with a pub feel! Our room was like a little hideaway, super comfy and quiet. Loved the tea & coffee setup. The hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch! Breakfast was spot on, freshly cooked and delish. The only thing was the bathroom felt a bit cramped since I had to duck a bit to get in.
